OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Help

Select a Managed Workspace for the Isometrics Manager

  1. After you Launch Isometrics Manager and login to a datasource, click the Start Managed Workspace option. The Select Document dialog displays.
Note: This dialog only displays when you are attempting to use a Managed Workspace for the first time. The file path will be saved so the next time you start the Isometrics Manager using the Managed Workspace option, the workspace will automatically be loaded.
  2. Select OpenPlant Modeler from the List Documents by Application list.
  3. Browse to the Models folder which will display the Dgn files in the Documents pane:
  4. Select a Dgn file and click OK to load the workspace associated with the document.
Note: In the OpenPlant Managed Workspace Setup Guide, the Empty.dgn, or PlantInstances.dgn are default drawings provided with your install which can be associated with the Managed Workspace during the setup process. So if no other .dgns have been created in the project, you can select either of those to load the workspace.
CAUTION: It is not recommended to use the same Dgn file for importing a workspace for OpenPlant Isometrics Manager (OPIM) that has been used for OpenPlant Modeler. (Click here for details).
  5. The following dialog prompts you to create a working directory for the datasource:
Note: If you are connecting to a datasource that already has a working directory defined, this dialog will not display.
  6. Click Yes to create a directory automatically and begin the export process or No to display the following dialog:
  7. Browse to an existing Folder or create a new one, then click OK . An export progress dialog displays:
Once the Export process is complete, the Iso Manager interface displays.
Note: Once you have setup the Managed Workspace, the above setup process is not necessary. However, if you change datasources you may be prompted to create/define a new working directory if one does not exist.
